Coit Tower
Christopher Columbus stands in the foreground with Coit Tower in the background. Coit Tower is named after Lillie Hitchcock Coit who as a young girl was rescued by firemen. When she died she left the City $100,000 and a memorial dedicated to volunteer firemen was built. Some say the tower resembles a fire nozzle and some say it resembles a....well you get the point.
