Silicon Valley started in garages. William Hewlett and David Packard built their first audio test equipment in a garage in 1939. Years later a HP employee Steve Wozniak and his friend Steve Jobs formed Apple Computer in the garage of Job's parents at 2066 Crist Drive in Los Altos.
