FELICIA'S ORCHIDS
I love it when I can occasionally catch a beautiful bride in her veil and makeup and blue jeans! :-) Meet Felicia--Bride of the day and bride of the year! She chose beautiful One World Theater for her Sunday wedding and reception, and she designed a four-tier stacked cake that serves 136. The cake is so incredibly fresh that the icing is still changing colors as it sits. (It'll be all one color by reception time when it finishes darkening.) It's the crowdpleaser'--French Vanilla cake with a hint of lemon and almond and has raspberry filling. Several stems of beautiful white dendrobium orchids were provided by the bride and were cascaded down the side by Austin Cake Lady. I love orchids and I especially love colored cakes because I do my own photography. The cake has a combination of scrolls including what I'll call the
"Felicia Scroll" on two tiers--tiny scrollwork spread out sparsely over the whole tier. The cake sells for $2.50/ serving, less for larger cakes.
