The Louisiana Purchase.
The Louisiana Purchase was accomplished by Thomas Jefferson in 1803. It was taken from the Spanish by the French and then sold at about 4 cents an acre to the US by Napoleon. So, this is the 200 year celebration of the Louisiana Purchace!!
