Driveway border

The driveway border is predominately shades of pink - I call it my 'pretty in pink' border. Since the backyard is mainly shady, the driveway is also where I grow veggies in pots. The south side of the driveway is a steep bank between our driveway and the neighbour's. The soil is poor and the area is hot and dry. The grass died there so we turned it into a herb garden and it's thriving! The backbone of the driveway border is 'Pink Beauty' potentilla shrubs on the north side and seed-grown Angel roses on the south side. Hardy Hibiscus are also and inmportant element and are show stoppers when they bloom! (Below are hibiscus with Pink Beauty potentilla companions at their feet.)
