Artist Carl Butler was born in Orleans,France,on March 22,1962. He showed an interest in the arts, at an early age,while growing up in a military family in France,Germany,and California. Carl then moved to Knoxville Maryland, Where he attended Brunswick High School,and participated in the Gifted and Talented Program. Upon his graduation, he attended The Maryland Institue College of Art, in Baltimore Maryland. In the past 20 years or so, Frederick and Baltimore residents, have commissioned this talented artist to paint numerous subjects,including landscapes,portraits, family residences,prized cattle,and others. In character, Mr. Butler`s works are luminous and have strong spiritual overtones. Viewers of his canvas`es, will be filled with the sublime energy of Carl Butler`s vision. Mr. Butler is a member of the Frederick County Art Association and the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, and Carl has studied under the direction of Frederick MD. award winning portrait Artist Mary Pfister.
