REDDY FREDDY (Fall 09)
REDDY FREDDY is an enormous 11" bright red unusual form with a wide yellow throat. Petals cascade and sepals twist and curl. Very sun fast. It begins blooming early to midseason, and because it is strongly recurrent, it continues non stop until very late in the season. Rebloom flowers are 12 to 14". Scapes are tall at 39" with 4 to 6 lateral branches plus a terminal cluster with 23 to 29 buds per scape. Fragrant; semievergreen. From a seedling, (SHE DEVIL X PERSIAN RUBY), x CHICKEN DANCE. Plants are vigorous and increase quickly. Difficult as a pod parent, but easy as a pollen parent.....seedlings from it and have enormous, narrow blooms and tall, well branched scapes. Excellent parent for rebloomers. $40 DF
