RENAISSANCE ROSES
My lovely bride Sheila chose the straight rather than offset square cake that serves 168. She chose the Riverplace Scroll for the top ther, Happy Swirls for the middle tier and the Hannah Scroll for the bottom tier. The middle tier was Butter Rum with cream cheese filling and the others were the "crowdpleaser" one with pineapple and one with strawberry filling. There were pearl dot borders with hot pink ribbon around each tier, and all the tiers were surrounded by beautiful hot pink roses provided by Stephanie at Bouquets and arranged by Austin Cake Lady (free service to our brides). The cake sells for $2.50/serving not including cost of flowers or delivery. The cake is sitting on a silver plateau which is sitting in about ten pounds of rose petals. The reception was at the beautiful Renaissance! Did you know they've moved their venue next door now and it's new and FABULOUS! Marilyn is working there and she used to be at Vintage Villas. She is INCREDIBLE as wedding coordinator as is Jenny who works with her. They'll take VERY good care of you if you select their venue for your reception. Definitely check this venue out!
