BECKY OFFSET
I feel as if I know Becky, my lovely bride for this wedding reception, but the sad part is that I never had the pleasure of meeting her. She planned her reception while she was away at school, and we did everything by email. She fell in love with the "Offset Candle" and the "Fire and Orchids" design, so we combined those with a three-tier offset cake to serve 168. We encircled each tier with a pale pink ribbon and did the "Hannah Scroll" on all three tiers in ivory on a white cake. The flowers were provided by Freytags--fresh,HUGE stargazer lilies and several stems of white dendrobium orchids with pink throats, although they're not showing up very well in the picture. There are tea-light candles all over the cake, waiting to be lit at serving time for a fabulously romantic atmosphere, as well as beautiful pictures! The cake sells for only $2.25/serving, and the bottom line for this cake (excluding delivery and purchase of flowers) is $388. This is the most popular cake that I'm doing right now, and there is a smaller version that serves only 120 called the 'mini-offset'! Does it call YOUR name?
