I got caught up in Terry Pratchett books via a Doll Street challenge to make one of his characters. His Discworld books are wonderful and there are so many characters to choose from, I couldn't pick just one so I decided to do many. The first one I chose isn't a character, but Discworld itself.

According to Mr.Pratchett, Discworld is a round flat disc (surprise!) held up by four elephants standing on the back of a giant sea turtle (A'Tuin)as it swims through space. No one knows the sex of this turtle and it is of great interest to the scientists of Discworld. I don't know why --- do they intend to mate it somehow?? I thought I read somewhere that this turtle/elephant/world thing was a legend of some country like India or China but now I can't remember and it doesn't really matter, does it.
