Winter in Michigan is a time to make things cozy in the house. It helps to be surrounded by some of my favorite things during the long winter months. It is why I prefer to surround myself with painted pieces. I need some color during dark and dreary winter days without sunshine. The dark cabin look wouldn't work for me unless I lived in a different climate!
