~Spring Bloom Sewing Roll~

I'm having such a wonderful time stitching these primitive Sewing Rolls...
Sampler pocket on this has a stitched Basket (one thread) with makers initials ~Vkd~ in the year ~1867~ age 7...
Stitched on a fragment of antique thin cotton sheeting, motifs include
a small dog, three tiny hearts (mustard in color) and the Cross.
Tiny Linen PinKeep (2 x 3 inches) with Cross and two tiny hearts
with handstitched black seed beads around outside edge, has been attached with black cotton thread (but can be detached to display separately).
So Sweet...
Old paper thread winder, cotton thread,
antique mother-of-pearl buttons complete this Sweet Sewing Roll.
Outside of Sewing Roll has been handstitched around outer edge
with added makers initials ~vkd~ and ties closes with antiqued button.

Measures 5 x 11 inches when opened. Primitively worn & aged...
Can be displayed in an Old Sewing Basket or Pinned up on a Cuboard Door...
