Queen for the Day Madeline chose Greek food this January, and we all had a great time at Stratos Greek Taverna. We were greeted with pretty tent cards on the table, welcoming us to the taverna. The food was delicious, and Waiter Ivan was super. The restaurant provided pita bread wedges as we waited for our orders and gave us free dessert samples at the end of the meal. Madeline raffled wonderful prizes, and the grand prize, a copy of The Lace Reader will be passed around the chapter as each interested member reads it.

A young man came up to the table and demanded to know what "this is all about." "What is this?" he said! We explained that we were Red Hat Society and that our main purpose is to have fun. When he heard that, he said that we had to come see him at La Bare where he dances. Since we were celebrating Fran's 94th birthday, we had him pose for a picture with Fran. Unfortunately, he wouldn't give us a sample of his act.
