Delicious Ambiguity . . .
This is how I would like to end this album of photos . . . with a quote from Ann. This is something she wrote after we put this book together. "Lenna did complete her final pages in the butterfly accordion artists' book that we've been collaborating on since January -- I
added an endpaper and attached the covers --- and now I can't stop
looking at it in awe. Even though the entire book was worked on without a plan or theme, and each page arose spontaneously, the result is magically thematic and cohesive. One of the covers says "The Story Without an End" -- turn it over and another cover says
"The Story Without a Beginning" -- and indeed, you can "read" the book in one direction then turn it over and "read" it in the other direction, then turn it over again, and again, and again --- it really did end up as a perpetual book, without a beginning or an end.
A classic example of a fabulous sum being greater than its parts."
*** I really could not have said it any better than that. This was a marvelous experience & a cool work of art created by the 2 of us. To view our work in
