Big Sky, MT

Pros: Wow this place has some beautiful scenery. Two 15 station courses, 1 open with vistas of deep valleys & mountains in the background the other course in trees with deep ravines. Very friendly staff who came by often to check if I needed anything. Nearby cities of Polson & Kalispell have hotels due to proximity to Glacier NP. Great use of natural terrain with tons of below your feet & overhead shots. Great use of specialty targets with presentation variety everywhere. Clubhouse is large and comfy. 5-Stand overlooks valley. This place gets top marks for natural terrain which IMHO is better than Piney Valley Ranch in CO. Safety was well thought out. Shooting stations were nicely designed. Grounds keeping was excellent with no trash or mounds of fired shells. This is best course out of Texas I have shot.

Cons: Clays cars won't work well & aren't allowed due to fear you might drive off a cliff to the canyon below. So bring a push cart or rent one of theirs. No website. Hosted one of the first US Open's but couldn't again due to cart issue. No water ponds but thats expected in this part of country. Due to nature of terrain the course is subject to strong winds. Dusty paths are a nuisance in high wind.
