B-D Automatic Injector
This contraption was used to put a glass syringe in with the 26g steel needle. The barrel was stretched back to *cock* it. When the little lever was pushed - WHAM! that baby pushed the needle in! It sure saved a lot of frustration deciding when to jab yourself. This was my second one. The doctor was upset my folks got one thinking it was a crutch, but it sure got the job done when I was 11 in 1950 - until around sometime in the '70s.
