Our first night in Eilat, we felt very adventuresome. We walked across the border from Israel to Egypt. The Hebrew for Egypt is at the top of the sign and is pronounced Meetzrayim. There is a hotel there with a casino which was built by the Israelis when they occupied Sinai. Gambling is not allowed in Israel. Israeli citizens sometimes go to Taba, where we went, to gamble. No great shakes! No pun intended!!
