Nemacolin

Pros: Billed as the "Augusta" of sporting clays The Shooting Academy at Nemacolin Resort is close but I found several things wrong that I think dethrone it of that claim. Still my wife Sandy shot a personal best and had me on the ropes throughout the whole course until the final station where I passed her with some fine bunny shooting. Our guide was very friendly and acted as a caddy would during golf, making suggestions on target tactics etc. Outstanding lodge/clubhouse with a bar & grill. Paved cart paths. Covered shelters every 3 or 4 stations have wood stoves inside so you can stop and warm up if its cold, very nice(picture below). Well manicured entrance and shooting stations. Very large complex with several courses. A great 5-stand layout which is fully covered.

Cons: You must have a shooting tee time & they provide a mandatory guide/trapper/scorekeeper which you pay extra for. Very expensive to shoot here. The trees downrange at each station are destroyed by the shear high volume of lead thrown at them. A pity really.
