The 2005 to 2007 season, started the decline in wins by Jr at DEI. Things were not going well, and Jr was planning a move. 2005, 1 win, 2006, 1 win, 2007, 0 wins, the writing was on the wall, Jr was leaving TEI. That's right, Teresa Earnhardt Inc. I guess Teresa was doing her best to run the company, but it was not like it was before.

By no means do I wish to disrespect DEI, however, it was quite evident that the 8 team was not going in the direction that it should be, other teams were catching up, and like the Hendrick teams they were far superior to anything DEI had.
