Tower Hill Fall 2007

Mindy and I visited Tower Hill Botanical Garden in Boylston, MA this past Friday November 2rd. What a great time we had! We very much enjoyed touring these gardens. The foliage colors, berries, textures were splendid. We took 85 photos and 38 made it into this album. It was very difficult to narrow down the list of photos but here is a representive sample. The photos follow the path we took first stopping at the gardens at the front gazebo and entrance stairs. Next proceeding to the gardens in front of the Colonial Farmhouse. Then into the Orangerie. After some time warming up inside and lunch we proceeded to the perennial gardens behind the Orangerie. Mindy commented that the perennial gardens in back were a 'model study of how to use ornamental grasses in the garden'. Finally we ran out of time for the trails behind this garden. For another day! Where possible we've include the botanical name and common name as copied from the tag.

Tower Hill Botanical Garden contains 132 acres of gardens, meadows and woodland trails and an indoor Orangerie (French Victorian Style Greenhouse).
