Summer 2007

Last year was my first year growing gladiolus and dahlias in the garden. I just loved these flowers for cut flower arrangements! This year I grew a few more glads and dahlias, many from Old House Gardens. Old House Gardens specializes in heirloom, interesting, and hard to find bulbs. I also grew an order of mixed glads from Noweta Gardens with great success. The Noweta Gardens glads were grown in two containers, approximately 10 bulbs per container. Each glad container had a 10 inch diameter and was approximately 12 inches tall. I used regular potting soil (Pro-Mix) enriched with osmocote time released fertilizer.
