On September 25, Sharon and Cynthia clogged in a Red Hat Talent Show, sponsored by the Great Gals of Garland at the Plaza Theatre in downtown Garland. The audience responded well to us, and we received several compliments on our performance.

QFTD Vickie arranged our visit to Mesquite Rodeo on September 29, but she was unable to be with us because of a family illness. Frankie stepped in and found Carino's restaurant just north of the rodeo arena. We loved Carino's and had a good time there, including the celebration of Fayrene's birthday.

The rodeo was a big hit, both for those who had been there before and for those who hadn't. It wasn't a very good night for the cowboys as the livestock won most of the events, but it was exciting just the same. The announcer introduced us and asked us to lead the cheer for the chuck wagon race. Of course, we did that very well.

Thanks to both Vickie and Frankie for a special night. We missed you lots, Vickie!
