Stockyard Hoot ~ Fort Worth About fifty Red Hatters met for an impromptu Hoot at the Fort Worth Stockyards on September 21. We started at Bogger Red's Saloon in the H3 Hotel, but we left there after we were asked to quiet down since there was a prayer meeting (?) next door. We meandered up and down Exchange Street until it was time for the Stockyards longhorn herd to make their trek around the Exchange building. We talked to the cowboys afterwards and admired their beautiful horses. Then it was time for lunch so we headed for Riscky's Steakhouse. It took awhile to be served since we were such a large group, but we used the time to talk and get to know each other better. After lunch, we posed for a group picture, checked out the shops, and had our pictures taken by strangers on the street. One gentleman from England asked to photograph Tex, Spycee and JoJo because he thought we "were so cute." By that time, the heat had caught up with us so we went back to the car and started hunting for a shop where they were holding a "Don't Mess With Texas Women" t-shirt for JoJo. We finally found it and really enjoyed visiting with the proprietor. Spycee and JoJo each bought a blingy red watch. Then Spycee and JoJo kindly drove Tex home to Dallas and went BACK to Fort Worth to continue celebrating with the gals at Billy Bob's. SUPER DAY! |
