BASH (Bawling, Amazement, Sincerity, Humor) was an appropriate acronym for my party celebrating life and survival of Type 1, insulin-dependent Juvenile-onset diabetes mellitus (DM) diagnosed 11/5/50. WE MADE MEMORIES that weekend I'll not soon forget. It was such an emotional time I couldn't have handled marking 50 years living with Type 1 without the events.
