50th Anniversary BASH of Life & Survival of Type I Diabetes BASH (Bawling, Amazement, Sincerity, Humor) was an appropriate acronym for my party celebrating life and survival of Type 1, insulin-dependent Juvenile-onset diabetes mellitus (DM) diagnosed 11/5/50. There is a chapter in my book, 'Tolerating the Sweet Life' which reviews the events of the BASH day. http://maxpages.com/TSLandCLIP Each family received a BASH booklet and a Goody Bag which included the Ladder Diet that was adhered to before the discovery of insulin in 1921. WE MADE MEMORIES that weekend I'll not soon forget. It was such an emotional time I couldn't have handled marking 50 years living with Type 1 without the events. Thanks to all who had/have a part in my life. You are/were sweet and I don't have to bolus for it!!! °Ü° Jan (~_^) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Gentile).
