Over the years, our group of eight women has met virtually every Wednesday evening for food, drink, friendship and, oh yes, knitting. They are dear friends, supportive confidants, ruthless judges, sensitive souls and just plain fun ladies whose ages span a range of 5 decades. And they can cook.

Knittie night can be a 6 course feast, but sometimes just finger food or crackers. Nevertheless, no one would miss it for the world. I only hope that everyone has access to such a group at least once in their lives.
