In June 2007 we hired a narrow boat from Shire Cruisers, Sowerby Bridge, W.Yorkshire for five days on the Rochdale Canal.

We cruised from Sowerby Bridge to Todmorden and back, involving a total of 38 lock operations, thus providing us with plenty of exercise! Shire Cruisers are superb boats, as is their customer service, and we would recommend them to anyone who wants to enjoy the superb scenery of the Rochdale Canal.
