WILD ROSE
This unusual cake was made especially for my beautiful bride Erin. It uses the Wilton 'floating cake stand' which makes each tier "float" about 3" above the one below. The cakes are embellished with lavish scrollwork, ruffles and lots of royal icing wild roses, each with 3 pearl stamens in the center, which gives depth to the flowers. It has been fashioned similar to a design in the Wilton Wedding Treasury Book.
Its heavy embellishment eliminates the need for flowers on the cake itself, but a few scattered roses and one of the bridesmaid's bouquets give delightful ambiance to the cake table. The cake sells for $3.00/ serving, does not include stand rental ($20), real flowers (your choice) and delivery charge depending on the location of your reception.
