This doll was experimental so the face is a different shade than back of head. I copied a photo of an original Izannah Walker doll onto stockinet, attached it to the front head, and added paperclay to blend edges of stockinet. Then coated the face with beeswax. I had originally intended that the bonnet be non removable and the dress was going to come up to the neck to hide the color difference. I wanted an off shoulder dress and a removable bonnet so I blended the front/back with distress inks, paints and other methods.
