Roller Maintenance
My tip to you:
You must have two shims stacked under helix retain clip. It is paramount that the roller does not come to the top of the cam or else denting will result. You must keep the rollers in premium condition and this is the only way to keep from getting a dented roller.
I suggest that one picks up new rollers from G/W. The roller itself can be bought separately in a pack of three.
When you get even one dent on a roller, what happens is the rpm becomes unstable. One time the engine overrevs, the next it underrevs and my friend you will be scratching your head wondering "WTF is going on?"
More dents will result and backshift deteriorates rapidly.
I will say in my humble opinion that these rollers are JUNK! We as consumers are getting raked over the coals.
$50 U.S. for a set of these rollers? COME ON!.........The name's "Tucker", not SUCKER!
These rollers probably cost a mere few dollars, so it is nothing more than a gold mine for the seller.
Im looking for material that is harder than the junk plastic rollers that are presently forced down our throats.
Because of the quality of this roller you must check for cracks every 400+ miles.
One dent will cause a roller to crack. No dents, rollers will last for thousands of miles. I'm not kidding, don't settle for less than a Premium condition roller when you install this kit. Two shims and rarely worry about the roller.
