Sequoia Trail Walk, and Sempervirens Falls Sempervirens (long lived) Falls is the only falls of any significance not on the Berry Creek Falls Loop. The amount of water flow changes tremendously from season to season. If you are short on time, or it is the rainy season, you can drive to these falls. Get a Map at Park Headquarters. I have been doing 3 different walks monthly at Big Basin, and the pictures here are from the shorter Saturday and Sunday walks that I do (4-6 miles). Park information can be had at 831 338-8860. The best time to view the falls is just after heavy rainfall, it is also recommended to call the park ahead of time to make sure that bad weather conditions haven't closed the park. More information on the park can be seen at www.bigbasin.org |
