This winter I am trying to force some bulbs using the water forcing method. After having some success with hyacinths last year, I am trying two short, early season tulips and some crocus bulbs. The bulbs were chilled in the refrigerator for 9 weeks.

Also starting two amaryllis bulbs purchased from John Scheepers: Fairy Tale and Honeymoon and tending to various house plants in the south bay window. By the patio door, two fuchsias, a bouginvillea and rosemary plant brought in from outside last fall are waiting out the winter until they can be brought outside again.
