Christmas at The Highlands

2002 was our first Christmas in The Highlands. Art picked out a perfect tree, nearly 10 feet tall, which we put in the Red Room. We hung white lights on the front bushes and there are single white candles in each of the 37 windows of the house and there are 9 more candles in each of the windows of the shed. We've also decorated the outside of the shed with a strand of white lights around the edge of the roof, there is a garland of white lights going down the driveway and we've added some white lights around the barn in the back. I just wish my camera took better pictures at night so you could see just how beautiful it looks in the dark at night!

In 2003, our second Christmas, Art bought another tree nearly 10 feet tall, only this tree wasn't as perfect as last year. Luckily, strategically placed lights and ornaments helped to camouflage some of the flaws. We opted to not do the lights in each window or in the bushes outside this year, but we still decorated the shed (aka Santa's Workshop)
