Mary worked as a Home Health provider until becoming ill in 2000. She had attended the Attica-Williamsport Presbyterian Church and various other churches in the area. She enjoyed scrapbooking, fishing and camping. Surviving are a companion, Monte Mickle, Attica; two sons, Bryan Alan Jo McMullen and Isaac David Mickle, both at home; her mother, Emma Jean Carroll, Auburn, KY; a brother, Terry Lee Brown, Sr., Paducah, KY; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Dee Brown, Jr. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, Dec. 13th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home, on Thursday, Dec. 14th, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Bloesch officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Mary came into our lives on the ObesityHelp.com Indiana board shortly before her weight loss surgery. I was fortunate to have had several conversations with her and was able to meet her on December 5th, 2006. Mary was so upbeat and positive. Mary had heart problems...which, she needed the WLS to lose weight in order to be put on the heart transplant waiting list. Although Mary was doing excellent at losing the weight, her poor heart just could last as long as it needed. It may not have been a healthy heart, but it was in touch with a very good soul. I miss you Mary, and will every time I hear my phone ring. |
