The Great Alien Ring Toss
I took this photo near the corner of California and Powell Street which combines two San Francsico icons-cable car and the Transamerica Pyramid. The unique design, a triangular tapered spire, was supposedly chosen because it casts a smaller shadow than a rectangular building. When it opened in 1972 locals called it "The Great Alien Ring Toss."
