When we bought this property in 1999, it came with a very rustic garden shed. The shed was poorly designed, leaky, rotten and too low for anyone tall to stand upright inside it! A new shed was definitely on the 'to do' list but other priorities got in the way. We finally got the replacement process underway in the fall 2006, with the new shed completed in late spring 2007.

The siding is eastern white cedar shingles with an 'Ocean Gray' paint. Eastern white cedar shingles were common siding material on the east coast where I grew up but are less often seen here in southern Ontario. The shed is an element of nostalgia in the garden.
