June 11th 2002. Rubus ursinus. This year I have seen more of these in bloom than I have in the last 8 years I have looked for flowers in the Redwood Forest. I didn't see but one or two berries, hopefully they were eaten by the forest residents, whose food supply they are, and not by us hikers.
