Los Pinos Pass, CO
Located at an elevation of 10,500 feet in Gunnison National Forest, Los Pinos (meaning "The Pines) Pass is a quiet, secluded area of open meadows sheltered by tall pines, fir and spruce with spectacular views of the La Garita Mountains. Access to Los Pinos Pass road is (1) from the north off Colorado Hwy 149 onto the road to Powderhorn, (2) from the southwest off the same highway near Slumgullion Pass or (3) from the northeast off Colorado Hwy 114, northwest of North Pass.
