Primer and paint

It's nice to finally get to the point when you can start shooting primer and get ready for paint. After stripping and sandblasting the body, I started metal-prepping and priming with PPG epoxy primer. I worked my way down from the roof to the floors, leaving the quarter panels for last since they will be replaced.

The final paint will be a PPG urethane BC/CC in a stock two-tone color scheme using some sort of "burnt" orange or orangish copper and metallic white, champagne or beige. I haven't decided on final colors but I know the look I want. The chassis will be painted the orange color, as will the engine compartment sheetmetal and engine block.
