CACTS 27th International Symposium on Air Cushion Technology The Canadian Air Cushion Technology Society (CACTS) is a constituent society of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI). It is devoted to the development and application of air cushion technology in the transportation domain, industry and other fields where the technology may be of benefit. For the first time in history, the 2002 Symposium was held in conjunction with the World Hovercraft Championship. The first World Symposium on Hovercraft Rescue was held on the first day of the event. The second day was devoted to Light ACV Technology, and the third day to Heavy ACV Technology.
