DRISKILL LEILANNI (Note)
DON'T MISS NOTE FROM BRIDE AT BOTTOM OF THIS!Leilanni chose our "Offset Candle" cake for her lovely wedding reception today at the beautiful Driskill Hotel. Her cake flavor was one of the crowd pleasers--Mexican Vanilla with a hint of lemon and almond and with Bavarian Cream filling. On the top tier she chose an embellishment of 'puffed hearts', middle tier 'bubbles', and bottom tier 'happy swirls.' Tealights gave the cake ambience with a silver plateau rented from Austin Party Central. Flowers provided by Central Market were a little skimpy, but not in the league with Charlotte's Fiesta Del Flores Muertes! We managed to sneak a few "extras" from table decorations to make the cake the focal point of the reception. :-) The cake serves 168 and sells for only $2.50/serving, and the homemade buttercream icing is sooooo much better tasting than any of the fondant you'll find in Austin. (Fondant is pretty but most brides want their cakes to look good AND taste good!) Ours do both, and the price is $2.50/serving.
