Tobler
Dear Lifeline, My name is LeAnn Fauber and on January 1st, 2005 I decided to start looking for another puppy to be a companion for not only myself but also for my dog Piper (# 109, Jan 04). I got there as the rope was dropped and everyone was running for the kennels in complete child-like excitement! I was one of them! I scanned each kennel for a unique looking pup to complete our family but didnt see anything that struck me. As I was leaving, I heard a little yip from the last kennel in the row before you go back to the parking lot. I turned to see a face and a very happy tail just begging to be let out to play. The information said Shar-pei mix- #1864 BOY.. I thought "hmm.. 16 weeks is easier to potty train and I would like a boy..." I stood there for a moment contemplating my decision when I noticed, not a sole there was looking at him.. My heart went out and I asked a volunteer to get him for me.. Once in the play pin he warmed up immediatly! I thought a Shar-pei might not be what I was looking for, then a young man who was working there told me that the poor little guy had been there since he was 7 or 8 weeks old and that this would most likely be his last chance.. That did it. I grabbed Piper from out of the car and let her check him out, she approved and an hour later Tobler (pronounced Toebler) was on his way home. We have had 'Little Man' at home now for a week and I couldn't be happier (althought the potty on the floor and the chewing is a little crazy)!! He is a complete mamma's boy and gets along fabulously with Piper Doo. Thank you so much for completing my family! Now if only I can convince my soon to be husband to start looking at a house with a yard so we can add to our family next year!! Ha ha ha Thanks again!! Sincerely, LeAnn
