Kat went along to teach when AADA (Academy of American Doll Artists) rented a villa in Tuscany, outside of Florence, Italy in May 2006. We did an adaptation of Kat's Broken to Beautiful doll, making it into a souvenir doll. All week, while sightseeing in Florence, we browsed the open air markets for scarves & costume jewelry, etc. In class on Friday, we shared our finds and used pieces of them to costume the dolls. They became truly unique souvenirs of our visit to Italy.
