Our Farmhouse ~ built in 1913~ was the home of Michaels grandparents. He remembers spending all of his summers here as a child. We are so blessed to be living here today !

Our life here began a few years ago. After we moved in, we decided to completely renovate-Michael - doing all of the work himself ( with a lot of help from a dear friend ). We were "roughing it" for a time, while working on the upstairs. It took a couple of years -since we had to also make a living ! After the upstairs was done, we decided to take a break from renovating and enjoy what was accomplished for a while. Well, in the meantime, the idea for our cabin came along !

To make a long story short ~ We now have a wonderful log cabin shop, a very nice workshop ( where we spend most of our time !) and HALF of a house ! We are just now starting to make our plans for the downstairs renovation.

Someday we will have the perfect farmhouse kitchen, keeping room , and gathering room. Oh, so much to do ! We often wonder why we do things the way we do......Will we ever have a normal life ? The way I look at it.... We'll never be bored and will always have something to look forward to !

Please keep all of this in mind as you view what we have done so far, and think of us "making do" with half of a house ! I'm very proud of what Michael has done and just can't wait for our downstairs ~ someday~.
