Welcome to my cardmaking business. I'm a writer who worked with computer-based graphic design at newspapers for years. I love papercrafts, and the process of making things by hand -- no computer. I started making cards for friends several years ago, and in December, 2004, idle words became action when I sold holiday cards to the florist down the street. Almost all of my cards are one of a kind. I meet the folks in my neighborhood when I walk my dog Rosie the Wonder Dog, a 12-year-old Corgi-Jack Russell-Australian Shepherd rescue pup. Virtually everyone in the neighborhood knows this dog's big smile and wagging tail. So when the ladies at the flower shop invited me to put a small sign in their window to advertise my cards, I figured the best way for people to know that the cards were made locally was to call the card line simply, "Rosie's Mom Makes Cards." And here they are. |
