As a child, I always loved art! My "earliest" memory was coloring the floor in Kindergarten when I was supposed to be resting on my mat. I have a degree in Phys. Ed, but in 1980 I started my "real" ART journey when I first took a calligraphy class. I started a part-time calligraphy business while staying at home and raising our two daughters. In the late 80's I was founder and editor of "Inkers Online" a calligraphy guild through Prodigy Online Service (my first experience with computers) and then soon discovered rubberstamping! I was actively involved in a Christian "card ministry" for 3 years, which gave me another opportunity to grow in my faith and to teach classes in my home studio. Six years ago, while living in Chicago, I discovered a whole new passion for "altered" art, beading, photography, heritage scrapbooking, mixed-media and digital collage. As you can tell from the various albums below, I love trying NEW techniques and especially love taking unusual items such as game pieces and formica tile samples and creating new works of art. I love to share my knowledge and my art stash with others as well.
