Guys still look like guys wearing skirts just as women still look like women when wearing pants! (one is not "cross dressing" with just a skirt. Did you know women cannot "cross dress" because they already have the option to wear anything from the men's side of the wardrobe). The idea of these photos is to show a skirt is just a piece of clothing anyone can use like pants! After seeing these you will see just how "uneventful" a guy in a skirt really is. Men have worn skirts (many shorter than the mini's of today) for thousands of years! A SKIRT is more practical for a male than a female due to anatomy alone! No crotch binding seams for the first time. This is something most men have never experienced or they would include skirts as an option to their wardrobe. They are especially useful when sitting a long time at the computer and most other activities. Also on a hot day they are significantly cooler than shorts. Sure the same issues apply to both men and women but as long as they are worn with undies who cares if there is an unintentional flash (your covered). That should not be an issue. Also there is the argument that men in skirts are gay...but have you ever seen a gay wear a skirt? (Outside of movies and TV). Gays don't wear skirts! The real problem for most men and some women to overcome is HOMOPHOBIA. Men suffer much more than women. Most (not all) women are open minded when it comes to skirts for men and most (according to polls) give skirts on guys a thumbs up and find them intreaguing. So it is time to shake off the old puritanical beliefs left over from the Victorian era and give skirts a shot to help end decades old boring men's fashion. Forget Kilts! A Kilt IS a Skirt by definition so call it what it really is...a SKIRT! A kilt is just a particular Style of tartan skirt than in my opinion is super costly, hot, heavy and ugly. Completely unnecessary since there are styles of women's skirts that fit, function and look great on guys. Caution...once you try one for a day or so you will be hooked on the idea and not give it up! I recommend www.ebay.com and search for "cargo skirt". Many are plain, have belt loops, and many pockets making them ideal for guys "as is" without modifications. Just get them in Juniors sizing so the hips are not too big. Tip: 12 inches long is the typical length of a department store mini and that is the same as men's gym shorts! A "micro mini" typically 10.5 inches or less is the same length as most men's running shorts!!! Mini doesn't mean excessively short for anyone! Stretch material is more comfortable and they last longer. There is no leg restriction when walking, running or climbing stairs if the skirt is shorter than roughly 12 or 13 inches long. These are perfect as a substitute for shorts this summer. |
