We did get to take our little weekend getaway vacation this past weekend!  It was wonderful to get out of the hustle and bustle of the Dallas Megaplex.  No local news, no 10 murders in one day, no one killing their kids and hanging themselves.  VERY different. I thought I liked the big city because of all the stuff to do and never run out of fun, exciting things... but then you look at the commute to work, the high cost  of living...the crime and murder... plenty of things to do but if you don't have the money to do them, you don't get to do much. Quality of life is what we are looking for now and we are not getting that here.  Would not want to raise kids here if we have them.  What, wait until we are pregnant and then decide to move?  Not sure that is a very good idea. Why wait to retire somewhere when you can move there while you are young.  I don't think we would ever get to even start to think about saving money here.  I am ready to call somewhere else home...thinking Mountain Home would be a wonderful place to do that.  Set roots and stay there... could always come back to Dallas to do the stuff we love to do but do think we would not have any problem finding plenty of stuff to do there... outside stuff...more fun!!
