I have posted some pictures of the swimming figure in its unfinished state. I will post more when I have worked on it some more.

The 'swimming ' figure is going quite well - I think I can make it look like it is under water, and with the addition of a few bits and pieces on the base that are reminiscent of underwater stuff, the idea should be clear enough without getting to fussy. Haven't taken a picture yet, but I will before I get stuck in with the paint. that is the part I'm really looking forward to! It is amazing how much you can enhance the form using colour/tone.

August 4th - depths of winter in Tasmania, but I notice that there is blossom starting to appear on the wattles. Plenty of snow in the mountains this year, which is a change from the much warmer winters we have been having recently.

 

Today I am working on a new piece - a swimming figure - all cloth- the biggest problem is to make her look as if she is under water and in motion. Might post some pictures of this piece as I work on it.
