The 2008 Christmas Gift of Giving card sales raised $842.00 for the LOEP mission trip to the Lott Carey Baptist Mission School. Thanks to all who supported this project!

The proceeds from this years Gift of Giving cards will be used to support a teacher training program at the Lott Carey Baptist Mission School. Professionally trained Liberian Orphan Education Project (LOEP) volunteers will be traveling to Liberia to conduct this on site teacher training program.
I have 2 designs available-Three Wisemen and a Peace Dove, both done in batik style. Pictures can be seen in the Christmas card photo album

0 Comments International Festival results!
The Cause for Creation booth at the Sept. 27th International Festival in Harrisonburg Va. was a big success. Card sales and additional donations totaled $1165.00!
We were priveleged to have on hand Mr. Sam Kargbo, Children Relief Ministry director from Liberia. He provided first hand information on the needs and present conditions at CRM orphanage. Our booth included a picture display of the Browntown Baptist Church Liberia Mission orphanage projects over the past 5 years. It was a wonderful day, and a lot of people were educated on the needs in post-war Liberia. All donations are greatly appreciated and proceeds from this event are being donated to Children Relief Ministry in Paynesville, Liberia and the Alfred and Agnes Memorial Orphanage Mission in Brewersville, Liberia. Thanks to all who contributed to this very successful event.

I am pleased to have been invited as an artisan vendor at the 2008 Harrisonburg International Festival. 100% of Cause for Creation proceeds from this event will be donated to the Alfred and Agnes Memorial Orphanage Mission in Paynesville, Liberia and Children's Relief Ministry in Brewersville, Liberia.
We are very pleased that Mr. Sam Kargbo, Director of Children's Relief Ministry, will be attending this event with us and be on hand to provide first hand information to the public on the needs of Liberian orphanages.

0 Comments Summer 2008-New cards and new venue
Starting in April and going through November, I will be selling handmade cards at the Harrisonburg Downtown Farmer's Market. Proceeds will continue to be donated to Liberian Orphan Relief. I hope to be able to raise more funds and spread the word about our orphanage projects through the cards that will be bought and sent through broader community exposure.
I have new petroglyph design and block print style cards. All are entirely handmade, including the paper! Click on the elephant picture at left to go to the picturetrail site for details and pictures.

The CFC Christmas card fundraiser resulted in $600.00 in donations from members of the Browntown Baptist Church and others. Proceeds will go towards the new school building at AAMOM.

Christmas card fundraiser for AAMOM to prchase furniture for the new school has started. There are 2 designs available-Dove or Angel. The cardstock is handmade paper straw, and the Dove and Angel are hand carved block prints. Price is a $3.00 donation per card. In 2007, CFC will continue to support AAMOM orphanage in Liberia. Card sale proceeds will be donated for the purchase of school desks and chairs for the new school building that will hopefully be under construction very soon.
Additional 2007 "Causes for Creation: A portion CFC proceeds will be periodically donated to the Seeing Eye, Inc. throughout 2007.
