I will try to retrace a few days. Thursday the 13th we celebrated Valentine's Day, because we knew we would be in the car all day on the 14th headed to Ga to pick up our grandson, Chris. John did get me a card and a box of candy, which I did not need, ha. He also got me a trinket I had thought about, but would not buy. It is the piano keyboard that rolls out flat and it sounds like a piano and you can play it any where. I thought it would be fun and I have made a new years irresolution to practice the piano more, so may be a toy will help. We had a nice visit with Chris when we first got to Augusta we took him out for dinner. The next day was rough for us, We checked out of the hotel at 11:00 AM and we were not able to get Chris until 8:30 PM and then we headed for MD. John did all the driving, it took 9 hours so we arrived back here very early this morning and I still fell droopy. Then very early Tuesday morning we will hit the road again to take him back. All of this was so he could see his girlfriend. I do remember those feelings, ha. Both kids are great and ones we can be proud of, so we'll help them out a little. Going back will be more fun because we will get a good nights sleep before we start out. I want to stay there a couple of days. Have to check out a few antiques stores... Don't tell John ! I will hit him with it at just the right time, ha. I hope to that we can come back by Bluefield and stop and see Mrs Swope. I haven't seen her in a while and I miss letting know I think about her.
Today would have been a great day to take "Princess" out. Hope it holds until tomorrow and I can to drive her. She runs very well even in the cold weather. It does take a little longer to warm up. I told John we should heat the garage, Yeah I know he laughed too. I thought carpet on the floor would be nice too, that got knocked down too. He says "Princess" is not house broke yet. He leaves newspapers down under her. Remember, those old 50's cars did leak a lot.
This time I will be ready for a long trip. John doesn't always like the radio on, as I type now I am charging my ipod to I will have my music. Music gets me through some dreary times. It especially helps me pass time on the treadmill. Well if I don't write anymore before I go, I will when I get back.
